VIP International Traveller is a German magazine giving an exclusive insight in luxury travelling. It has a selected number of readers and for the seventh consecutive year, readers of the magazine voted for their favourite hotels according to various categories, namely Most exclusive hotel worldwide, Most beautiful wellness resort, Most luxurious ski hotel, Most wonderful suite, The chicest city hotel and The most outstanding golf resort. There were 5 780 votes for this year’s competition. Second prize went to Dorint Sölrings Hof Sylt, Germany and third to Frégate Island Private, Seychelles. |

Sébastien Bras, son of Michel Bras and Director of Restaurant Michel et Sébastien Bras, will be at Le Touessrok in February 2010 for a Culinary Festival which will be a unique opportunity to discover the world of Bras through four magnificent dinners.
Restaurant Michel et Sébastien Bras, in Laguiole, France, is a mythical place where the quest for taste and fine cuisine has become a true Grail for Michel and Sébastien Bras. Three Michelin Stars, a Relais et Châteaux ensign, Restaurant Michel and Sébastien Bras are continuously being awarded world accolades, the latest being: Best for Food in the Condé Nast UK Gold List 2009 with an astounding score of 98.76 out of 100; ranked 7th in the 2009 Sand Pellegrino World 50 Best restaurants; 19.5/20 in the Gault et Millau Guide.

Le Touessrok wins The Leading Hotels of the World Best Leading Commitment to Quality in Middle East & Africa

Le Touessrok won its latest accolade on 24 November 2009 at The Leading Hotels of the World Annual Convention: Best Leading Commitment to Quality, Middle East & Africa. A success for the flagship of Sun Resorts which has been very committed to efficient Quality Management throughout the years and which has achieved among the highest Leading Quality Assurance scores during the period of July 2008 to June 2009.
The Leading Hotels of the World announced on 24 November 2009 the winners of a series of prestigious awards during its 2009 Annual Convention, held in Venice, Italy. During that evening, the winners of the Eighth Annual Commitment to Quality Awards were announced, with members in five regions: Europe; Middle East & Africa; Asia & Pacific; United States of America & Canada; and Mexico, The Caribbean & South America. The winners were those properties which achieved the highest Leading Quality Assurance scores during the period of July 2008 to June 2009.
The Commitment to Quality Award for Middle East & Africa region was given to Le Touessrok, followed by Maia Luxury Resort & Spa in Mahé, Seychelles.

This Award, which is run by the Conference & Incentive Travel magazine, is given in recognition of how well Le Touessrok is perceived by the conference and incentive market in the United Kingdom and the groups that were hosted at the hotel.

Mauritian specialities such as chicken and prawn curry, fish salad and beef rougaille will be served to the high profile guests present during the event.
Sansibar is one of German’s most popular beach restaurants. The ideal time for Le Touessrok Chef, Dewanand and his valued team to put forward their culinary experience. Throughout this promotional week, dedicated to food and gastronomy, all rich and famous Germans will be present on the Island of Sylt. Pascal Brun nominated to the rank of Chevalier de La Légion d’Honneur

Pascal Brun, General Manager of Le Touessrok and Vice President Operations, East Coast, for Sun Resorts in Mauritius, has been nominated to the rank of ‘Chevalier à l’Ordre National de La Légion d’Honneur’ following a presidential decree dated this 13th July 2009.
Le Touessrok was placed under the management of one of the most famous General Managers of the luxury hotel industry, French born Pascal Brun. Pascal Brun joined Le Touessrok as General Manager in February 2009. He is also the Vice President Operations, East Coast, for Sun Resorts.
In France, Pascal Brun was better known to have been involved with Group Lucien Barrière for the past 25 years. Before joining Sun Resorts, he was Managing Director of Barrière Hotels and Casinos in Cannes. Once voted ‘Best General Manager’ in the world, the former General Manager of the mythical Majestic Barrière in Cannes was also at the head of Hotel Gray d’Albion and Casinos Cannes Croisette, Les Princes and Menton. Before the French Riviera, Pascal Brun was General Manager of Royal Hotel in Deauville.
The Légion d'Honneur or Ordre national de la Légion d'Honneur is a French order established by Napoleon Bonaparte on May 19, 1802. The Order is the highest decoration in France and is divided into five various degrees: Chevalier (Knight), Officier (Officer), Commandeur (Commander), Grand Officier (Grand Officer) and Grand'Croix (Grand Cross). Pascal Brun has been nominated to this order for his career within the tourism industry. |
