The move, completed on Monday 16th June, 2014 will come into effect in August later this year when the flagship hotel will be re-launched as the Shangri-La Le Touessrok Hotel and Spa. Shangri-La is all set to takeover management duties at the prestigious resort in Mauritius.

A dream luxury holiday combination
Le Touessrok Hotel is a prestigious acquisition. The flagship resort has three luxury overwater villas, 200 guestrooms and suites, 2 private islands and a world-renown 18-hole golf course designed by Bernhard Langer.
Sun Resorts will retain a healthy 74% stake in Le Touessrok and CEO Philippe Cassis believes that the venture: “…will enable this unique resort to achieve its full potential and pave the way for a successful and mutually beneficial collaboration for many years to come”.
Shangri-La already manages two other resorts in the Indian Ocean region and possesses a total allocation of 34,000 rooms globally. But undoubtedly, Le Touessrok, member of the “Leading Hotels of the World Organisation” is set to become the jewel in the crown.
